Secondary Roof Sealing for Floating Roof Tanks-Wiper Type 

Application

The Secondary Seal System is a rim mounted seal suitable for external floating roof tanks.

The seal design has been used on rim space between shell and floating roof tanks from 6m to 110 m diameter containing the full range of crude and refined products.

Features and Benefits

The Secondary seal is designed to be installed whilst the tank is in service.

The seal includes a compression plates, wiper rubber and vapour barrier membrane.

The wiper rubber has a large contact depth with tank shell.

The seal has a smooth profile that will allow it to reenter the tank without any tendency to hang up should the tank be accidentally over filled.

 the vapour barrier membrane is produced from a highly abrasion-resistant to obtain and efficient soft sealing effect.
